FleaWi is a 228 character, 4 line PerlLanguage WikiClone, based on PeWi and written for ShortestWikiContest. There's been so much copying of code and ideas between the top few perl entries that it's hard to keep track, but I estimate that this entry was written by CaseyWest, NickCleaton, SeanPalmer and others, in that approximate order --NickCleaton
The 228 char version of fleawi is really just a copy of the 229 char version of SigWik, with one more trick to save one more character. At one point I got fleawi down to 225 characters with a basic search facility, but that introduced an XSS vulnerability so I've withdrawn that version.
It uses shell commands and will work only on UNIX. This version makes a bit of a mess in the error log.
This is a silly way for adults to spend their evenings :) -- NickCleaton
I've been having fun even so. I'll have to buy you a drink if we're even in the same place at the same time. -- CaseyWest
I am in awe. -- DougMerritt
I am willing to be further in awe, but the SigWik page does not summarize anything. Look, I'm a consumer, I watch tv, eat potato chips, and that's about it...you're asking me to count characters by hand, now? I don't think so. I have ice cream in the fridge to check on. And eat, of course. Life is short. Do you have any salsa? No? Sigh. -- dm
Oh fine, SigWik now has instructions, a features list, and I've put up a public demo site. Arm twister. -- CaseyWest
