Wolfgang Pree

A professor for applied computer science at the the university of Constance/Germany (http://www.informatik.uni-konstanz.de/~pree).

He wrote one of the very early books about design patterns: DesignPatternsForObjectOrientedSoftwareDevelopment. In his book KomponentenbasierteSoftwareentwicklungMitFrameworks (only available in German?) he takes a somewhat critical look back on the pattern buzzword.
