User Interface Design: Social and Technical Issues

This is a place to discuss user interface design, and particularly how social issues come into play in the design process. This site was originally created for discussion among students in CSE 271 spring quarter 2003 (class web site: http://www.cs.ucsd.edu/users/goguen/courses/271/).

In class we talked about some sites with discussion of the Total Information Awareness program's old logo. Does anyone have links to provide? -- DanaDahlstrom?

I think AgileUsability as proposed by PhlIp is also a sound approach to UserInterfaceDesign. Has anyone found situations where his proposed method not applicable?
