Tooled Composite

A CompoundPattern of CompositePattern, StatePattern, PrototypePattern, VisitorPattern, and CommandPattern. TooledComposite supports DirectManipulation in graphical editors. Its follow-on, VisitorInFrameworks, discusses how to circumvent Visitor's familiar problems in frameworks.
