Discussion
Should describe forward-linking, back-linking, the search page, RecentChanges, and categories.
I don't think newbies will absorb even a summary of all of the above in anything remotely close to a minute. Maybe SeeAlso, OrSee and other sections merit mention on this page. Or maybe some other OneMinute* page. Imo, it would be more important to introduce an absolute wiki newbie to VisualTour than most of the above. This page is perhaps where one mentions that there are tens of thousands of pages. -- RalphMellor
I've never seen the usefulness of VisualTour other than as a toy example. Maybe it's good to show to a newbie for demo purposes, but I don't think it really represents usual usage of wiki. Do you use it regularly?
I see VisualTour as more than a demo thing, less than a regular use tool. I think it's useful as a simple way to help newbies visually grok the nature of Wikis as a network thing, not a hierarchical thing, and to give visually oriented people (40% of the population) a friendly touchstone if they're feeling lost. -- RalphMellor
