Life As Art

[Life is an art. There is an art to living. Life as feeling: aesthetics. Quality of life. See also QualityWithoutaName, TurkishCrafts, ExtremeProgrammingMaster.]

Situation: What seems to matter in life is how we feel. We feel ourselves in the space/time continuum, we have a visceral, non-rational connection directly with the universe. How we feel is perceived in terms of "quality" of life. [Definition needed.]

Problem: How can we feel good, create quality in our lives, be happy?

Factors:

Solution: Whenever possible make art out of every facet of living: cooking, building, dressing, working, thinking, writing, programming, playing, singing, expressing joy, and sorrow? [HOW to do this is more problematic - remember, feeling is not necessarily rational. So what makes art art? See SignificantForm.]

Staged Art

Life is a show. "The show must go on."

When you go through Hell, just keep going -- WinstonChurchill

Ronald Reagan was a better actor than Jimmy Carter, and his presidency was deemed to be the more successful one. Jimmy Carter is more successful in later life as a peacemaker, but that is a separate story.

Our life is a staged show, to be watched by the world and the Angels

There are certain terms that are inevitably paired, and this pairing indicates each can only be understood in terms of its relationship to its "opposite." Typically, the bifurcation takes place during analysis, leading us to believe that the terms may be considered independently of one another, whereas in reality they are always inextricably linked.
