Guido Van Robot

GuidoVanRobot is a programming language mostly designed for novices. It descends from KarelTheRobot, is implemented in PythonLanguage, and uses WxPython for the GraphicalUserInterface. The software also allows you to manipulate the robot using Python.

The main difference between KarelTheRobot and GuidoVanRobot (GvR) is that GvR, like Python, uses whitespace for denoting block structure.

Here is an example program.

    define turnright:
        do 3:
            turnleft

define follow_right_wall: if right_is_clear: turnright move elif front_is_clear: move else: turnleft

while not_next_to_a_beeper: follow_right_wall

turnoff
