Compatible Time Sharing System

Very early timesharing OperatingSystem. Developed in MIT by FernandoCorbat?àbased on JohnMcCarthy's ideas. First demonstrated in 1962, though not operational until later. Direct ancestor of both MulticsOs and the IncompatibleTimeSharingSystem. Ancestor of the UnixOperatingSystem via MulticsOs. Known as CTSS, though it's not the only OperatingSystem to have used that acronym.
