It is not clear that the 'Biggest gap' is demonstrable, i.e. that there is a human need for voluntary materialism. At the very least, a large share of the materialism that we see in current minority world culture is propped up, if not created, by propaganda and social conditioning.

A fun book to bring up, just to watch people defend the 9-to-5-till-65 routine. I have four lending copies of this book so I can spread the message. Much of their plan relies on putting money in T-Bills, rather than trusting the stock market with any money. This is not as attractive now that interest rates are in the toilet.
