Will Rel Source Ever Be In Distributed Version Control

I would love to try to help with a JDBC driver for Rel, WillRelSourceEverBeInDistributedVersionControl? I would love to see it hosted in a Mercurial repository such as BitBucket ( http://www.atlassian.com/hosted/bitbucket/ )
