Wc Fields

Very politically incorrect actor. The only one I know who could get away with kicking a child on screen.

He also kicked a dog, though I'm sure the critter that actually got kicked was stuffed. In The Golf Specialist, a dog urinates on Fields' pants leg while he's transacting business at the front desk in a hotel lobby. Fields kicks the dog across the room without a thought.

Besides being famous for hating children and dogs, Fields is also known for FakeCussWords, back in the days when "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" was darn strong language in a movie.

• Godfrey Daniels! (perhaps his most well-known swear expression A music store in my home town was named Godfrey Daniels, so of course I had to shop there. I saved up my allowance and bought a kalimba, or mbira.)

• Suffering sciatica! (after slipping on his son's roller skate)
• Shhhades of Bacchus! (after Baby Leroy drops a bunch of grapes through a hole in the ceiling/floor onto Fields' face while he's trying to sleep)
