Unconscious Vs Subconscious

PetPeeve - people writing "unconscious" when they mean "subconscious". I trust that most writers here don't actually mean that they solve problems unconsciously. Of course, maybe they do ...

Often they do. "unconscious" doesn't mean asleep in Freud's writings, it means outside conscious awareness.
