Tgp Background

The TgpMethodology was first implemented in a combat simulation project in the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) by its inventor ShaiBenYehuda in the early 90s. In this project TGP was utilized to allow an effective collaboration of combat analysts with the development team. The methodology quickly generated a growing simulation language that was effectively used by internal, and later external, combat analysts. Later on, the core software was sold to foreign armies (taking out all the military knowledge which was treasured in the profiles). Since then, the methodology was used successfully in several projects and practiced by hundreds of people (ImplementingTgp).

Case Studies

The methodology was contagious to other projects in a viral-like dispersion. TGP has been evolving over the years, assimilating new technologies and approaches such as XML, Java, UML, ModelDrivenArchitecture, ExtremeProgramming, TestDrivenDevelopment, and AgileSoftwareDevelopment. The methodology has matured since, by sharpening its terminology, collaboration process, and identifying its strengths and weaknesses (ImplementingTgp).
