Telecommunications Management Network

Commonly referred to as TMN.

A set of standards based around ISO, X/Open standards and the CMIP protocol. Used to manage telecommunications networks.

Though many switches only support SNMP, so one has to develop a CMIP/SNMP proxy agent in order to adhere to the stricter requirements of CMIP.
