St GemJerimiah StGem
Folk poet who resided in New Orleans. KathyBracy's Father.
Will enter more of his work soon. Any of you who would like to enter any of your own works, are more than welcome, as my Father loved nothing more than to share experience and life with others.
With the mingling
of our words
We share the meaning
of our being in this universe

To my readers:
As your senses
convey to you
The daily scene
Slow down....
Take the time
To enjoy
that and those
which come
Within your sphere
For shortly
the time will flit
and no longer
In your seat
you'll sit
For others will
occupy that space
And in turn
will race upon
the wheel.....
you turned.
THANK YOU

Being Alone
Who really knows...
The you...inside
Who reaches out...
To touch...
The you... inside
who unselfishly
will take the time
To touch
The you...inside
Disolve the pain
of being alone
That you...inside
You... who hides
way deep inside
Who cries... feels pain
Yes... deep inside
No one knows...
Seems to care... or
Wants to know
About the pain
They too... have
... way inside
For tis a common thing
We have... deep inside.
Each of us...
Reaches out... for
Someone to touch...
fulfill that lonliness
Soothe the pain...
Yes...make it go away
love me... for what I am
Not what pretends to be.

Love You..
Thousands upon thousands of years ago
One of your ancestors took his love by the hand
Said. I Love you 'from that union
You were an entity 'so to am I
Yet do we know their names or even
One single thought that was theirs
Other than these words
I love you
The earth endures 'we do not
The rocks wether 'etch slowly in the wind
Mountains become hills 'then plains
The earth endures 'So too those words
I Love You
What message can I leave behind
What words will endure through time
They know 'most wise were they
I Love You

My Journey
I walk the road
see the land
Take the time
Meet my fellow man
Extend a smile
Exchange a word
Maybe break some bread
And meet my fellow man
The journey's long
filled with smiles
'Tis beautiful this land
As i meet ... my fellow man
Each day's challenge
Some hills to climb
There's pleasure there...
I get to meet my --- my fellow man
One day I will lay
my head upon the grass
Smile with God --- say
I've spent some time
with my fellow man.
