Queries Persistence And Distribution

Three axes in programming that we bang our heads against quite frequently.

For the most part, they are independent problems; their solutions need not be related, though they may be in some cases.

I am not sure they are (or should be) independent. If you abstract away you data handling then you can also abstract away your persistence at the same time (or using the same system), for example.
