I believe that it was P. J. Plauger's articles that introduced me to the concept of PairProgramming, long before I ever heard of ExtremeProgramming. Of course, I didn't believe him then. I believe him now.

Author of ElementsOfProgrammingStyle and SoftwareTools? (both with BrianKernighan).

His last name is usually misspelled as Plaugher, especially when he is mentioned next to Kernigan.
