Petrarchan SonnetA sonnet form, also known as "Italian sonnet", associated with the poet Petrarch. It has fourteen lines in iambic pentameter: an octave rhyming abbaabba, and a sestet rhyming in any of several forms, usually cde cde or cdc dcd.
