Differentiation – Given the typical uniformity of geekdom, it is simple to differentiate one’s self and thus escape most if not all of the rejection that runs as a background process in most women. Geeks typically do not do triathlons or work for Habitat for Humanity framing houses. If you do, you will be automatically sent to the head of the line.
Appealing activities – The things that women find appealing are well-known and achievable, so divining them and achieving mastery is not complicated. Once you’re dating someone, you can take trips together that will make her the envy of her group of girlfriends and thus delay or prevent a breakup she initiates [Vidlisses et al].
Ultra-Sensitive Guy
Hit the liberal arts hard. If you’ve got longish wavy hair and can put on a soulful expression [Morgenstern], you can very easily be an intelligent, sensitive, poetry-savvy type that is always carrying some Booker Prize for Feminist Literature novel around. We mostly hate that this works, but it does, so make sure you don’t neglect this angle.
