This is the misconception that the only point of PairProgramming is to provide the less-experienced member with some free training by the more experienced member. It is also a dangerous possible side effect of SellPairProgrammingAsTraining. Maybe this is an AntiPattern?

It is not pair programming unless both parties bring something to the activity. The training activity is called mentoring and has its own set of best practices.
