For Foucault's quote of JorgeLuisBorges' quote of a passage in "a certain chinese encyclopedia" about classification of animals, see TheOrderOfThings.

If you want to put all your knowledge in one basket, is there any better example than Foucault?

Yes, the thinking about knowledge, science, the view onto the world at all. Is there a topic about poststructuralism? No, as it's not OnTopic for this wiki. Maybe there´s a link going further.

"Power is everywhere. Not because it comes from everywhere, but because it embraces everything. There is no all encompasing binary difference between ruler and ruled at the root of power relations".

The grammar of power is the truism. It requires no contact with reality, and discloses the interests of the one who utters it.

For those people who have problems understanding the HegemonyInAcademia page, Foucault's idea about power/knowledge is a good place to start... -MairinBarney
