Martin Nickel

Martin is a database designer and developer with extensive experience with Microsoft SQLServer, some with Oracle, and a bit with most tools that provide storage and retrieval using SQL (e.g.: DB2 UDB, PostgreSQL, MySql, Sybase, Informix). Before buying into the relational data world, Martin had tenish years of experience designing and developing OO software using C++.

He has consulted for software development groups at IBM, Microsoft, Harbinger, True Automation, and Starbase, and for projects at Lafarge Cement US, Bank of America, CompUSA, Harwood International, GTE Networks, and Citizen's Telecom.

Martin is based in Rockwall, Texas USA - just east of Dallas. He is married to Laurie and has three children. When not involved with boxes, arrows, ones, and zeros, Martin enjoys writing and performing music and is an itinerant preacher.
