A situation where language or tools are geared toward the majority preferences. The preference may not be objectively better, but simply more popular. For example, it may be cheaper to make just right-handed scissors than make scissors for both hands because there is less economies-of-scale for left-handed scissors. This applies to paradigms, syntax, language design, etc.
Shouldn't it be called "right-handed syndrome"?
Arguments could be made for either.
