John Holland

John Holland is a professor of computer science and engineering and of psychology at the University of Michigan. He's the inventor of the GeneticAlgorithm.

Holland has a new book out that people might find interesting: Holland, J. H. (1995). Hidden Order: How Adaptation Builds Complexity. Reading, MA: Addison-Wesley.

Avoid this book if you are looking for any technical detail whatsoever. This book is nothing but handwaving.
