Also, the name of an old web page (http://www.halcyon.com/mclain/ActiveX/) demonstrating just how bad an idea its author thought ActiveX over-the-web was. This gentleman posted this ActiveX component on a page, advertising it as a web-enabled way to reboot your Windows 95 computer, which the ActiveX component happily did.
