First Person

Until reading this book, I was unaware of the severity of child abuse.

It's a book?

FirstPerson is a literacy term referring to when a person speaks from their own opinions or experiences. Sentences that indicate FirstPerson narrative include:

I was walking down the street and then...,
She told me that she didn't want to...,
I believe that the world would be a better place if...

FirstPerson is commonly used in diary type literature, or [?]. It does not necessarily mean the writer's perspective (as it could be the persona they are assuming for literary effect) but this is usually the case, especially in the WikiWikiWeb.
