Oh dear, it appears I just completely screwed up the IndexCard, I\'m dreadfully sorry.
- No problem, I just fixed it.
I\'m in China and for some misterious reason I can\'t edit the pages directly, so I tried an anonymous proxy. (One of them doesn\'t work either, the other does). I don\'t know if it\'s my
RedHat in english or the anonymiser or whatever but it seems that the whole text got somehow mangled and characters were replaced.
If I edit the page again it will become even worse. (My page will probably suffer the same fate as I edit this)
DOes anybody have a clue about why I can\'t edit ? It gives me some \"page contains no data\" error. As I\'m passing through a proxy (you have to when coming out of china), it may be that c2 detected to many people from the same address and blocked \'em all regardless. Does anybody know ? It\'s bloody annoying not to be able to edit :-p
- I doubt that it's anything to do with c2 itself. The backslash being inserted before apostrophe is undoubtedly a Unix phenomenon (shell tools commonly do this), so my first suspicion would be whatever you are using under Redhat. When you type in French, does it involve typing apostrophe to compose accent marks? If some software thinks it does, then it might be trying to be helpful by inserting backslashes, to allow diacritics e.g. in filenames on the command line (wild guess!) If you post further diagnostic information here, someone may be able to help.
I also tried to add a little comment to \"
ProgrammersNotebook\", but I\'ll just leave it here as I don\'t want to defigurate yet another page.
LionKimbro wrote a book on a notebook system for tracking all your thoughts and making a map of your brain.
I\'m trying it nowdays, it\'s pretty interesting. He said he\'d be making a wiki about it shortly, I think there could be a lot of cross-linking between it and these pages. --
