The Goal focuses on bottlenecks and the TheoryOfConstraints and does so in a very readable fashion. Some consider this a must read for manufacturing production managers. At least read about Herbie.

Eliyahu Goldratt is also the author of TheGoal, ItsNotLuck, CriticalChain, The Race, The Haystack Syndrome : Sifting Information Out of the Data Ocean, and Theory of Constraints (newest book).
