Does XP team needs dedicated tester?

In XPE's ``Roles for People'':

  An XP tester is not a separate person, dedicated to breaking the system and humiliating the programmers.

But, in XPE's ``Who Writes Test?''

  That's why an XP team of any size carries at least one dedicated tester.
