David Ellis

David Ellis is a writer/director/producer based in London and commissioned by BBC radio three for 'Between the ears', its series of 'radiogenic/expeerimental' work, of which SilentKey as been mentioned here.

David Ellis visited Bombay, India, where he met up with various radio enthusiasts and key representatives of India's ham associations, etc. All recordings for 'SK' were done on a standard mini-disc recorder(£100). In addition to the authentic material taken directly off the radio, the various pseudo/slavic voices, utterances, etc., were by David Ellis, using numerous tin cans, a mobile phone and an answer-machine.

The original recordings of 'Sputnik' were attained through the BBC sound archive.
