Co Op Education

A form of university program where students alternate between taking courses and going on work terms with real companies. Students prepare and submit resumes to interested companies, who then interview, hire, and pay students to work for them for a few months.

An alternate form from the UniversityOfCalgary? Engineering department is a 12-16 month internship at one company after the third year. The idea is that the longer period allows you exposure to a significant project.
