First I've been hacking a lot.

Then for a long time I've tried to follow software engineering principles.

But now I've changed my mind and want to get extremely agile.

I am a developer in bank, financial and accounting business domains. Where I work (in France), developers are commonly seen as "the people who write the code". Of course, there is much more about development.

I used to read a lot about programming and development process, so one day I read about XP, and it confirmed, enhanced and enlightened my views about how we can do a better job.

Then I tried to go extreme with a project in which people were stuck. We have had some dramatic improvment quite early, but I've been forced to give up, because I had also to struggle against my managers (who are now still stuck again with that project, as far as I know). So my first XP'ish project didn't succeed, but I have clear indications that a more "classical" approach (I mean those big M methods which no-one is ever willing to follow exhaustively) would have done worse. I am eager to get involved in an XP project (I hope I'll have to cut that sentence soon).

Wiki is the more interesting concept I've seen on the net so far. I spend a lot of time here and get a lot of information.

MyMyersBriggsTypeIs ?NFP. I don't understand the E/I dimension (I think I reenergize myself by : talking with people, walking alone, reading books, playing with my kids, and many more activities). I like reading books. See BookShelved.
